Add or edit content on an existing page

The content within the page of the CCH Web Manager editor is built from a header, footer, rows, and columns.

Content can be added to your website using widgets, the most common of which are the Text Widget and Image Widget. Widgets sit within the content area via rows and columns.

You will find this page helpful if you want to

  • Add new text, images or other content to a page
  • Arrange or move content on a page

Formatting a page for content

The content area of a page is made up of rows and columns. Widgets can then be dragged and dropped into these existing rows or columns. To learn how to add widgets to existing rows, please click here.

Adding a row to a page

Rows can be added to a page in two ways. Dragging a widget onto a blank area below existing content will automatically create a row.

The second way to add a row is to hover over an existing row, click on the blue ROW box that appears in the top right hand side, click Add then select either Row Above if you want to add a new row above the existing one or Row Below if you want to add the row below the existing one.

Adding columns to rows

To add columns to a row hover over the row you wish to add more columns to. Click on the blue ROW box that appears in the top right hand side, click Add then select column. You can repeat this step again to add more columns up to a maximum of four columns.

Adding text and image widgets to page

If you want to add new text or new images to a page:

  1. In the left panel, click Widgets.
  2. Search for either the Text or Image widget and then drag and drop it into the area of the page you would like the content to appear.

Widgets can be placed above or below existing widgets or added to new rows or row columns. In the example below the text widget is being placed into an empty row column.
